Episode 5 - Lost and Found

So the crew have sussed out that we’ve been secretly stealing food and drink – mostly because not everyone is as sneaky as Mert and I… they keep leaving their discarded Coke cans around the campsite. Murmurs amongst the production staff about removing certain creature comforts lead me to make this video…

Realising our food supply might well be on the way out, it was up to us to use the tools we had been provided with in order to find food.

Now… what did we have…? Palm trees, knives, rope, bandanas… OH YEAH AND MOBILE PHONES.

Anyone want to order a pizza?

Mert was on it. He not only organised two extra-large pizzas to be made in Fajardo town, he worked out a deal with a water taxi to bring them over to the island. THE LEGEND!!! 

The crew were mortified. Don’t you dare tell Les you did this, he’ll go nuts they said.

It’s “survival of the smartest”, remember? Not “survival of the person happy to live on bugs for a week”! 😂

After the live show I dunked my head into the ocean and once it got dark I lit a fire so that Jo could play her guitar and we could all sit around and generate some good ol’ campfire spirit. But I was told the smoke (from the palm fronds I was burning) “smelt bad”. Oops. Bit of tension in the camp. So I filled my dry bag up with sand from the beach and used it to put the fire out. I then returned to my hammock. Now I know how John Locke from Lost felt.
